Please follow the link below to read The Green Nursery's list of aims for your child.
Our aims include putting children and their families at the centre of everything we do, providing an excellent standard of Child Care and education within a warm, welcoming and nurturing environment....
We are very proud of our dedicated and skilled team, headed by Chris Tomline. He has a Degree in Early Years Education. Karen Newell is his deputy and she also has a degree in Early Years Education. Kelly Beardsmore is second Deputy and she holds a certificate from the Council for Awards in Care, Health and Education (CACHE).
All have been with the company for over twenty years and have seen their children grow and flourish in the care of the Green Nursery.
We occupy an appealing, easily accessible building with several rooms and areas providing a wonderful learning environment. The children are grouped by the stage of development they have reached, ranging from Babies, Toddlers, Tweenies to Pre-school and these 4 groups each have their own large rooms within the nursery.
You can click on the large buttons at the top of this page to view more detail about those rooms or read more about all our rooms...
We understand the importance of ensuring that children are provided with healthy choices regarding their food and drinks during the day.
We work closely with Dudley Environmental Health and nutritional advisors from Dudley MBC. We have recently achieved a “Silver Food for Health Award”, which recognises our contribution to healthy eating options, food safety and hygiene environmental practices. We hold a 5 Star Hygiene Certificate, the highest award given.
We request that parents notify Nursery as soon as possible if their child will be absent.
Medication can only be administered by the nursery staff if the child has been seen by a doctor and the relevant medication and dosage has been advised. Parents will be required to complete a medication consent form at the nursery stating all relevant information.
The security of Children, Staff and Parents at the Green Nursery is of paramount importance.
Our premises are secure, both inside, and out and admittance is only permitted to persons authorised by members of staff.
Upon registration, parents will be required to provide a list of all persons authorised to collect their children. Photographs of authorised persons are also required.
All children will be given a named coat hook in the reception area for their belongings.
Please label your child’s coats, jackets, shoes, bags, breakfast containers etc. We cannot be held responsible for items that are not named.
It is the policy of the Green Nursery to work closely with all parents and guardians.
Parental involvement is essential to a child’s development because parents significantly influence their child’s learning and are the child’s primary educators.
