The Green Nursery welcomes all children and families with or without Additional Educational Needs into our Nursery.
We admit children from six weeks to five years on a first come, first serve basis irrespective of gender, race, ethnic origin, religion or additional needs.
Our aim is for all children to be happy and enjoy their time with us in a safe and stimulating environment.
We aim to provide a caring and learning environment that respects the needs of all children and adults.
We believe that children with additional needs have the same needs and desires as other children and have the right to share the same learning experiences as their peers.
Through inclusion all children and adults will learn to accept and value others regardless of their differences.
We believe that children with an Additional need are respected as “children first” and are valued for who they are.
We have 2 nursery special educational needs coordinators that have worked with a large number of children and families in the past. We aim to work closely with parent and other professionals to ensure that the needs of your child are met at all times.
We have a comprehensive SEND (Special Educational Needs & Disability) and inclusion policy.
We are open from 7.30am to 6.00pm from Monday to Friday throughout the year including school holidays.
We are closed on statutory bank holidays and also during the week between Christmas and New Year.
The manager has a thorough understanding of how children learn and develop and the qualified and experienced room leaders are well led. Consequently, all staff ensure that children's assessments are accurate and that appropriate next steps in their learning are identified.
